Introducing Lauren Paglisotti, Client Relationship Manager
By Lauren Paglisotti | June 27, 2019

Hi! I’m Lauren Paglisotti, the new Client Relationship Manager here at designRoom.
I grew up on the east side of Cleveland, with several parental figures in my life, most prominently my grandmothers. From a young age I was interested in the arts, performing in plays, painting, designing clothes and begrudgingly learning the piano, while at the same time chasing the neighborhood boys through the mud and hanging with my dad. A walking contradiction from day one, my path up until this point reads the same.
For undergrad, I moved to San Francisco to study fashion design and finished my degree at Ohio State University as a fine arts double major in painting and art history. I followed my passion for the arts as a Production Designer and Location Manager on an independent film, followed by years as a Program Director and teacher of the visual arts in Thailand.
Wanting to nourish my analytical brain, I returned to grad school to study business with a focus on nonprofits and corporate social responsibility. In 11 years, I have held various roles with companies small to large contributing to business strategy, marketing, sales and outreach in several cities.
While I hold degrees in the fine arts, art history and business administration, in my downtime you might find me reading books and articles on psychology and neurology, teaching myself to code or learning something from my dad related to mechanics, woodworking or fishing.
The common theme throughout my life is my appetite for challenging the status quo through empowerment, education and action. From this defiant streak, I developed a standard of pursuing jobs that contribute to communities in a healthy and sustainable manner.
Strong female influences, especially my grandmother, Clara Jean, led me to pursue studies in the fine arts, social collaboration and business. Clara Jean has often told me of her time working in a dress shop, “I never let a customer walk out of the store in a dress that made them look bad, but I was also tasked with making a sale for every person who walked through the shop door”. In that one statement, my grandmother taught me the importance of carefully selecting what you sell, sticking to products that you believe in and know well.
I am excited to join designRoom, because Kelly has cultivated a company that celebrates the individual for what they contribute to the diversity of the team and where the best interest of the client is always first in mind. And we help organizations that help people.
Please feel free to call me and chat about the latest innovation that has you excited or if you have questions about my role here at designRoom!
