Doctor C at State of Recovery

By Kelly Farrell | July 28, 2016

Kelly and Celeste and Doctor C at the State of Recovery Conference

My summer fun has included a trip to Florida with Doctor C for the State of Recovery Conference. My special guest? Celeste, my daughter, acting as Doctor C’s special assistant and director of social media. And my awesome traveling companion! We make a formidable Mother/Daughter duo, without question. Celeste is in college, preparing for a career in health care, so she was more than willing to meet and speak with the incredible people who dedicate themselves to helping people recover. We both learned a lot, attended some inspiring and educational workshops, and (hopefully) put on a worthwhile workshop of our own.

Kelly’s Workshop: Building Healthy, Sustainable Brands

I spoke to a room full of people from all areas of the recovery industry. The topic — building brands that will remain healthy and successful. They became especially engaged when I had them out of their seats and creating logos and taglines for a treatment center in Mill Valley, California, invented just for this presentation. Pretty great design and tagline concepts, for just having 15 minutes to do it! If you like, I will come out and do a custom version of my Healthy, Sustainable Branding workshop for your organization. Just ask.

Familiar Faces and New Connections

As always, we talked to hundreds of people. Some I knew, some are new friends and potential partners. I’m always inspired by the people I meet at these events, and am reminded and reassured that working for and partnering with people like this, and organizations like these, is a great decision.

Until Next Time

I can’t wait until our next conference, seminar, meeting, or conversation! Until then, I’ll leave you all with one of my favorite, one thing you should keep in mind pieces of wisdom — this healthy branding stuff works!
